Investment & Process

A Photoshoot package varies depending on your wants and needs; some families have 10 people while a family of 4 might like to do a photoshoot at 2 locations or a couple would like me to meet them in St. John for an engagement session. For this reason I prefer to talk with you so to get an understanding of what you would like to capture. Once I have a good understanding of your desires, I will customize a package for you. My profession is my passion and thus it is my desire to work with and help each client capture the beauty of life and to create art from those moments.

How does the process work?

1. Fill Out Form

Click the Contact Me button below. Please fill out the form so that we can schedule a time to talk. Please include your phone number and your preference if you would like me to text or email you to schedule our first consultation.

2. Sign Contract

Once we talk and the package for your special day or occasion is designed for you, I will send over a contract for you to sign so that your day is reserved with me. A 50% retainer is required at the time the contract is signed and sent back to me.

3. The Big Day

The day has arrived! Now it's time to have small eyes and big smiles, sun kissed lips and happy hearts. Through out my time you will see me dancing around with my camera and shooting the day as it feels so that we can capture the memories to last always and forever.

4. The Photos

I will upload all photos to the online gallery. This is a great place for you, family, and friends to view all the images, download, mark your favorites and to order specialty items like canvas prints, metal prints and framed prints if you so choose to do so.

FAQ

What "To-Do"s do you suggest?

A.Clothing selection is something that is very important for your session so take a moment to imagine in your mind’s eye the look you want to achieve. You can dress casual or dressy; just make sure everyone is on the same page.

• Comfort is key! Choose an outfit that allows for movement. The last thing you want to have on is something that feels restrictive and makes you feel and look uncomfortable!

• If you are getting maternity photos, long dresses or dresses with trains can be beautiful when used with the wind.

• Wear something unique–put on some jewelry or accessories to compliment your look.

• Don’t forget to consider your makeup as it can add to the stunning factor and saves the photographer time editing. Even if you don’t usually wear makeup, put a little on to smooth skin tone and add a little color to your cheeks.

• It can get windy on the beach and if you want to keep your style hair in place, consider using some hair spray or tiebacks for long hair.

• Try to color coordinate as a couple or family. Consider bright colors like yellow, fuchsia, coral, red, purple or cobalt blue to help you pop... these look AWESOME set against the sea and sand!

• For reunion images, have each family wear a different color variation so that each family stands out in their own way.

• Another mandatory thing to wear and that should be applied well before the shoot... Sunscreen! Start using coral reef safe sunscreen from the moment you get off the plane! The sun in the Caribbean is stronger than in the cities! And if you have tan lines, make sure to wear something to cover them up if you do not want them to show in the pictures.

• Another important tip for beach photography is to act natural, have fun, and relax! The more you practice posing beforehand, the less anxious you will be during our session. Sometimes the best moments are when you are walking around, just being yourself.

What "To-Avoid"s do you suggest?

A.• Avoid short dresses or skirts if you are doing a session that only allows for 1 outfit because the shorter length will limit available poses; we will be walking around and getting into position. Again, think about the romantic look of flowy dresses caught in the wind or waves.

• Avoid Khaki or too many earth tones. Gentleman if you are considering wearing a white linen shirt please wear a rich brown pair of slacks and not khaki as it will not pop against the sand and has a tendency to wash you out.

• Try and avoid busy patterns and limit it to one person while the rest wear coordinating or complimentary colors.

• Avoid black or white clothing items, as they can be difficult to photograph without losing detail in shadows or highlights.

• Avoid overly matching outfits. Complementing your children’s or your partner’s outfit is great, but being too coordinated can appear cheesy.

How long does it take to get our photos delivered?

A.It depends on how many photography sessions I have that week. I always aim to have all the photos up within 2 weeks of the event date but occasionally it can take a tad bit longer.

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

A.I do not as I will eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery.

What is the difference between touch up and post edit?

A.Touch Up means post production that involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections.

Post Edit means post-production that includes touch-ups such as removal of blemishes, removal of bags under eyes, removal of fly-away hairs, removal of swimmers and/or boats, etc.

Do you touch up all the images in our image download?

A.Yes I do. Every image is post produced which involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections. Many photographers do not post produce any images, or will only post produce “select” images which means you may have pictures that are too dark, have strange skin tones or other common photography flaws.

Do you post edit all the images in our image download?

A.No I do not. Depending on the package we design for you I will select the most beautiful images to do post-production edits that will include removal of blemishes, removal of bags under eyes, removal of fly-away hairs, etc.

What is your photography style?

A.I love to look through the lens in a photojournalism style while also being influenced by fine-art and fashion photography. I love using creative lighting, unique perspectives, angles, compositions and artistic post-production refining to bring out the beauty and the feeling of the day.
